Andy - Behaviour Practitioner

Andy is a local and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with more than a decade of experience in education, specialising in behavioural, social and emotional support for young people with complex needs.

During his time as a secondary teacher, Andy developed and implemented individualised learning and behaviour plans for students with autism, ADHD, trauma backgrounds and emotional regulation challenges. He worked closely with young people, families, guidance officers and external services to create practical and consistent supports across home, school and community settings.

Andy brings a strong foundation in Positive Behaviour Support, trauma-informed practice and data-informed intervention. He is currently completing postgraduate studies in Psychology, further strengthening his ability to deliver evidence-based, person-centred support aligned with NDIS best practice.

Known for his calm and relational approach, Andy focuses on building trust and taking the time to understand each participant’s individual needs, strengths and goals. He has a particular ability to translate behavioural theory into practical, everyday strategies that participants, families and support teams can confidently use.
