Tessa - Behaviour Practitioner

Tessa is a compassionate and highly collaborative Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with more than 10 years’ experience working alongside children, adolescents, families and multidisciplinary services across complex and high-risk environments.

Her particular strengths lie in supporting individuals and families impacted by family violence, complex trauma, out-of-home care, child protection involvement and complex family systems. Tessa brings a highly personal, practical and person-centred approach to behaviour support, with a strong focus on understanding the individual within the context of their family, culture, relationships, lifestyle and current capacity.

She is passionate about developing realistic and meaningful strategies that can be embedded into everyday life, working closely with families, carers, schools, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other agencies to create consistent and sustainable support.

Tessa is also a proud Yorta Yorta woman and places strong value on culturally responsive practice, supporting people to maintain connection to identity, culture, family and community in ways that are meaningful to them.
