Vanessa

Behaviour Practitioner

Vanessa is a highly experienced Psychologist and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner based in Bendigo, Victoria. She brings nearly three decades of experience across disability, family services, and therapeutic support, working with individuals across the lifespan.

Vanessa holds a Master of Professional Psychology from Monash University and is a Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is also a Certified Safe & Together Trainer, with extensive experience delivering trauma-informed practice and family violence training across the sector.

Her clinical expertise includes functional behaviour assessment, cognitive and adaptive assessments, autism assessment, and the development and implementation of behaviour support plans. Vanessa has a strong foundation in Positive Behaviour Support, combined with therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, counselling, and motivational interviewing.

Throughout her career, Vanessa has held senior roles including Therapeutic Practice Leader and Therapeutic Specialist with Anglicare Victoria, where she provided clinical supervision, led sector-wide training initiatives, and supported children and families experiencing complex trauma. She has also worked extensively within the NDIS, supporting participants through assessment, intervention, and capacity-building approaches.

Vanessa is deeply committed to person-centred, trauma-informed practice. She is known for her ability to translate complex clinical insights into practical, meaningful strategies that improve quality of life for participants and their support networks.
